Year group resources will be updated fortnightly.  Any useful links will be posted on here or on the Much Birch School Information page on Facebook (please join & answer the eligibility questions to be admitted to group) - other links may be posted on Twitter @MuchBPrimary.

Please remember :

You don't have to complete all of the work we have added online - it's optional; this is the ideal time to do all the things you don't often have time for e.g share stories, go into the garden and research plants, insects & birds, do some baking involving measuring etc

The work provided online is consolidation - you know your child best and what is appropriate at the moment.

As you are aware this is an unprecedented emergency situation impacting upon everybody at home and abroad.  These are contingency measures we have put in place to support your child and is at best, distance learning.  You are, and always have been, your child's primary educator.  if you decide that your child isn't going to engage with the tasks set, that is your choice.

It is clear in the current government guidance - all statutory education has ceased.  We are simply providing resources that you may want to use or share.

Personal, Social, Health and Emotional Development (PSHE)

These are worrying times for us all and young children pick up on these feelings.

If your child/ren are showing any signs of anxiety please use some of the materials to support them.

I recommend building a ‘HAPPY PLACE’ with them. This may be a den, a comfortable chair or a small tent/ tepee filled with their favourite things- blankets, cushions, fairy lights, favourite toys, books, a water bottle and maybe a few biscuits. If all else fails retreat to the ‘Happy place’ and talk about happy things.

The separate year group activities below are for you to dip in and out of.  There is no expectation from us as to how much / little work should be completed. There are answers provided with most resources should you need to assist your child in any way.  If you choose to use these resources / activities we do not expect them to be printed - merely displayed online then answered in the provided exercise books.  Please see above for a more practical list of activities too.
