Happy Easter Much Birch!

Still image for this video
We want the children to be happy and smiling during these strange times! Please share with them and send them our Easter good wishes!

As of Monday 20th April - weekly timetables of daily lessons will be posted on each class page by 8am every Monday.  Any resources needed will also be posted.  Your teacher is available via email if you have any questions.

You do not have to complete the work we are adding online - it's optional; this is the ideal time to do all the things you don't often have time for e.g share stories, go into the garden and research plants, insects & birds, do some baking involving measuring etc

The work provided online is consolidation - you know your child best and what is appropriate at the moment.

As you are aware this is an unprecedented emergency situation impacting upon everybody at home and abroad.  These are contingency measures we have put in place to support your child and is at best, distance learning.  You are, and always have been, your child's primary educator.  if you decide that your child isn't going to engage with the tasks set, that is your choice.

It is clear in the current government guidance - all statutory education has ceased.  We are simply providing resources that you may want to use or share.

Personal, Social, Health and Emotional Development (PSHE)

These are worrying times for us all and young children pick up on these feelings.

If your child/ren are showing any signs of anxiety please use some of the materials to support them.

I recommend building a ‘HAPPY PLACE’ with them. This may be a den, a comfortable chair or a small tent/ tepee filled with their favourite things- blankets, cushions, fairy lights, favourite toys, books, a water bottle and maybe a few biscuits. If all else fails retreat to the ‘Happy place’ and talk about happy things.
