OFSTED report now published
On behalf of the Governing Body I am delighted to share with you the report of the recent Ofsted inspection of Much Birch C of E Primary School.
Since our last inspection 4 years ago, the Ofsted inspection grading has changed and the thresholds of achievement have been raised, thus making it harder to gain a similar grade as before.
As you will know Mrs Hines and her staff have worked incredibly hard over the last 4 terms to raise expectations, improve standards and develop the aspirations of everyone. This they have achieved with flying colours. Not only do we know we have a good school, we can prove it quite comprehensively and consistently, as you can see throughoutthe inspector’s report.
I am sure you will wish to join us in sending huge thanks and appreciation to Mrs Hines for her tireless and unstinting leadership and to all the staff for their tremendous efforts in raising standards.
I would also like to take this opportunity to thank all the parents and carers who helped the inspector draw her conclusions by way of feedback and, of course, thanks go to the children who were a credit to the school as always.
Naturally, the school is not quite perfect and has areas for development as you will see. However, these had already been identified and are being addressed.
Enjoy the read!
