INTENT

To have access to a creative and inspiring curriculum exploring a range of cultures and for all pupils to have equal access. To explore the ‘cultural capital’ experiences of the children, building on the opportunities for all children to become educated citizens.

IMPLEMENTATION

Children are exposed to resources that reflect a range of cultures and abilities. From ethnic dolls, costumes, role-play cooking food, jigsaws, books to everyday teaching resources children see a range of cultures and people with different abilities.

Stories from different countries, songs and nursery rhymes provoke discussion and awareness of different cultures and abilities. We celebrate differences, seeing these differences as what makes us unique and special.
