At Much Birch we aim to provide an embedded art and design curriculum which allows pupils to develop their creativity, with the ability to progress through a continued art development, throughout each school year. Much Birch envelops creativity and inspires children to think reflectively on how art and design impacts our culture, past and present. Within our school we allow all children to express their creativity whilst supporting and guiding them to reflect on the purpose and design of their artwork. We ensure not to hold preconceptions of a children’s ability to progress, through showing a caring attitude. Our pupils are exposed to a range of media and have multiple opportunities to develop artistic skills through cross curriculum, this can be shown through our excellent forest school facilities in particular, alongside our dedicated art lessons within class.
